Fisher Creek Quarry

Status

The Fisher Creek Quarry, LLC property is composed of approximately 84 acres of forested land in the Georgia Piedmont. Located in Pickens County, it is just east of the small town of Talking Rock and north of the town of Jasper. It is within about an hour’s drive of the northern suburbs of Atlanta. The easement protects a natural viewshed along State Highway 136.

The Property is within the high priority Talking Rock Creek Watershed and is proximal to a number of existing protected easement tracts. The Property includes State Wildlife Action Plan significant habitats, small wetlands, forests, and a creek corridor. Furthermore, the easement lands will offer protected habitat about 6 air miles from Chattahoochee National Forest and 7 ½ air miles from Amicalola Falls State Park.

Please note the Fisher Creek Quarry real estate has been sold – You must contact the current landowner for access. Despite the sale, the Conservation Easement remains in perpetuity.

Deed of Conservation Easement and Declaration of Restrictive Covenants

On December 22nd, 2017, the owners of Fisher Creek Quarry, LLC signed a “Deed of Conservation Easement and Declaration of Restrictive Covenants” (BK:1136 PG: 846-881, Superior Court, Pickens County). The grantee of the deed is Foothills Land Conservancy, a Tennessee non-profit corporation.
