About

Little Timber Mitigation Site (Site) is a nutrient offset and riparian buffer restoration site located approximately 4 miles west of the Dudley off of Oberry Road in Wayne County. The Nutrient Offset & Buffer Mitigation Plan (NOBMP) is under development and has been submitted under the Terra 2023 Neuse 01 Umbrella Mitigation Banking Instrument (UMBI) to the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR) in 2024. The PSite is approximately 32.2 acres (1,402,632 ft2) of a total 229.9 acre tract situated along an unnamed tributary (UT) of Thunder Swamp. The Site is located in Water Quality, Hydrology, and Habitat Targeted Resource Areas (TRA) within Neuse River Basin HUC 03020201. The Site will generate riparian buffer credit (RBC) and nutrient offset credit (NOC) in the service area designated as Neuse River Basin HUC 03020201. An expected 242,368.000 ft2 RBC will be generated by the proposed Site as well as 57,606.578 lbs nitrogen NOC.
